Curiosity about the world we live in...

Science

Science at Worple Primary School

Our aim in Science is to foster a curiosity about the world we live in and to nurture an enthusiasm and love of the subject.

Through the themed curriculum, we teach the skills associated with scientific methods of investigation and foster those personal capabilities that promote scientific ways of thinking and working such as curiosity, perseverance, co-operation and sensitivity to living things.

All pupils will be taught essential aspects of the knowledge, methods, processes and uses of Science in everyday life. They are encouraged to understand how Science can be used to explain what is occurring, predict how things will behave, and analyse causes.
